The boyfriend pillow was originally conceptualized and created by a bed linen company, Kameo Corp., which is based in Fukuoka, Japan. Tomoki Kakehasi, who works for Kameo Corp., explains the idea behind the Boyfriend Pillow:
“My grandmother used to say that there is nothing more comfortable pillow than human. I always thought someone’s lap is the best pillow for me. So, I thought that maybe women want to sleep on the arm shaped pillow. As a fact, my kids always like to sleep on my arm. Human pillow seems to be warm and healing. This is why I made this arm shaped pillow.”
This innovative product is a pillow shaped as a man’s chest and arm; there are many types of boyfriend pillows including ones with a soft chest, ones with a muscular chest, and they come in a variety of different colors.
The product is made of extra comfortable memory foam and has several benefits such as giving you the illusion that someone is sleeping right next to you and keeping your body balanced as it can support the body from both sides.
The price range varies from: $19.95 to $39.95.
